My Vintage FInds

Vintage and antique items stain deep into my soul. It seems to be permanently burned into the make up of who i am. I find myself taking each exit into the parking lot of every antique and junk store. I think it's the high of finding something with heritage and those unique items that once belonged to someone. They are so timeless and  have fought to survive all these years. Its an addiction, and obsession, and a way of life. The newest fascination i have is VINTAGE FABRICS. The way they smell, look, and wear  entangles me. They wear heavy on my heart strings and my wallet... and not to mention the dilemma of what to do with them when i get home:)  But one look at the pile of fabric and i was inspired!!! These vintage strands of garland and banners were the ending result.

I hope you enjoy them as much as i do.

Happy Joys

This week Tonya and I sat down to discuss the upcoming holidays.
We decided to skip Saint Patties and head right into the greatest "Candy" filled season.
Im so ready for spring to be here and although the weather doesn't seem to agree, I found a little bit of  sunshine creating these Easter inspired characters. I wanted to try something a little different then the usual white wash and couldn't help myself putting crowns, wings, and plenty of bling on them. I think i found a new joy in life..... the joy of spring:)

Happy Joys...

Happy Chalking

One of our favorite things to make are these cute vintage inspired chalkboards.
Each one seems to find its own personality and  unique paint job.
The fun really begins with a stick of plain white chalk and letting your imagination run wild.
We had a blast doing these three :)

Oh how we love a can of chalk paint!!!

For a little bit of flare we added a unique touch of metal.
This also added as extra storage so we know right where to find our chalk and eraser.
